Students Hard at Work - Preparing for SLCs

To prepare for our Student Led Conferences, students sorted through their Book Apartments, attached Proof Cards to their work and prepared a document to help them tour their guests around the classroom.
Some students did their work on paper, and others did theirs on the Drive.

What We've Done So Far This Year

On Friday, in preparation for our upcoming Student Led Conferences, we collaboratively worked on a document called: What We've Done So Far This Year. Some students had iPads out to look back at what we've done on our blog and twitter account, others had laptops out and we added to this document at the same time. It was an awesome collaboration and made us all so excited for the Chromebooks to arrive - we'll get to do this all the time!

A Virtual SLC

Daniel is very interested in learning about how we evaluate work at Churchill since we don't use marks. Vickie did a Student Led Conference with him to show him one way we assess our work and set goals in Room 209.

Sign Up for Student Led Conferences

In class, we'll be preparing for our Student Led Conferences over the next week. I've just sent an email home to families encouraging them to sign up for a thirty minute scheduled SLC with each of you! Feel free to show your parents them the Google Drive (especially if it's their first time using it) and tell them if you've started using it and how we use it in class!
